He was predeceased by: his son James G. Newton; and his parents, James Newton and Christine Newton. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his daughter Jennifer Newton-Abels (Alicia); and his stepchildren, Lisa Bruno, Richard A. Bruno, Jr., Andrea Dykstra (Nick) and Christopher Bruno.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pizzi Funeral Home (120 Paris Ave, Northvale, NJ 07647). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery (52 Totowa Rd, Totowa, NJ 07512).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim's memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association or an appropriate stroke organization.
