He was predeceased by: his parents, Francine Halap and Leonard Halap; and his parents-in-law, Dr. Jesse and Nanette Schessel. He is survived by: his spouse Robin Halap; his children, Samantha Czartoryski (Ryan) and Brian Halap (Patricia Buczynski); his siblings, Michael Halap (Laura), Faith Kerbis (Ron), Marni Foxman (Paul) and Julie Halap; and his brothers-in-law, Larry Schessel (Marcie), Dr. David Schessel (Marianne) and Marc Schessel (Terri). He is also survived by extended family, including his cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A funeral service was held on Monday, February 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Buffalo Grove Chapel - Under The (195 N Buffalo Grove Rd, Buffalo Grove, IL 60089). A burial was held on Monday, February 9th 2026 at the Shalom Memorial Park (1700 W Rand Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60004). For information about Shiva, please contact the family.
