She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbourn Jacob Godwin and Amanda Ziglar Godwin; and her siblings, Christine Godwin Creel, Willie Webb Godwin and Wilbourn Edward Godwin.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Joseph Smith, Jr.; her sons, Robert J. Smith III (Brandy), Marco W. Smith (Jessica) and Randall E. Smith (Kim); her grandchildren, Jordan Pacifici (DJ), Chase Smith (Ashlyn), Sam Roxby, Reilly Griffith (Austin), Brandon Moss, Hunter Smith (Rebeka), Savannah Smith and Owen Smith; and her sister Nell Marie Steeley. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, as well as many friends.
