She was predeceased by: her parents, Euther Mae Brown and Willie Murry Avant; and her siblings, Willie Avant, Curtis Avant, David Avant, Bernice Avant, Ella Jean Avant, Euther L. Avant and Ella Mae Avant.
She is survived by: her children, Cassandra Avant and Bruce Todd; her grandson Bruce Todd Jr.; and her siblings, Earline Rolston, Alma Walker, Annie Avant and Edward Avant. She is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
