She was predeceased by: her mother Minnie Lenora (Bundy); and her siblings, Rev. Joney Lee Phillips, Captain Bobbie Franklin Bundy, Hazel Phillips Evans, Margie Phillips Sherrill and Ethel Mae Phillips.

She is survived by: her husband W. Richard Hooper, MD; her children, William R. Hooper, Jr. of Murfreesboro, TN and Charlotte Hooper Ceier of Purcellville, VA; her brother Lewis A. Phillips of Oak Ridge, TN.; and her caregiver Dr. David Sheppard.
