She was predeceased by: her parents, Wallace J. Bates and Bonnie Hill Bates; her former husband Russell N. Herring; and her husband Howard Donald Gage Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Richard R. Herring (Kyong Kim), Randall N. Herring, Donna Herring Adwan (Kenneth) and Donald M. Herring (Nicki); her stepchildren, Howard D. Gage Jr. (Jenny) and Julie Ann Manilli (Chris); and her sister-in-law Ruth Bates. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
