He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion B. Bailey and Eunice Hall Bailey; and his grandparents, Leslie, Lottie Hall, Izelle and Ruth Bailey.

He is survived by: his son John Alec Bailey (Tara); his granddaughter Arianna Mollie Jane Day of Pensacola, Florida; and his siblings, Judy Daley (Carl) of DeFuniak Springs, Florida and Randy Bailey (Melodie) of Travelers Rest. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
