She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Secrest and Janet Smith-Hester; her daughter Christine Hancock; and her sisters, Gardenia Hanshew, Violet Secrest and Karen Losito.
She is survived by: her husband Mertz "Billy" Goodwin; her children, Mertz Billy Goodwin Jr., Sandi Spivey and Cynthia Goodwin; and her grandchildren, Cristyn Soto, Tim Goodwin, Jason Spivey, Daniel Hancock, Brandon Spivey, Trae Goodwin, Kara Sherman and Mika King.
