It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darry Adkison Sr. of Pensacola, Florida, born in Defuniak Springs, Florida, who passed away on August 3, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Darry shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Darry farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his wife Vera Adkison; his stepdaughter Carolyn Baldwin; and his siblings, Glen Adkison, Amy Cosson and Gretchen Miller.
He is survived by: his children, Anthony "Tony" Adkison (Donna), Jan Hendrix (Mike), Tim Adkison, Darry "Sonny" Adkison Jr. and Carol Staliwe (Ron); and his stepdaughter Donna Gindl. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
