With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Derek Allen McLendon (Pensacola, Florida), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 12, 2026 at the age of 46. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Derek may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.

He was predeceased by: his father Buck McLendon; and his brother Trey McLendon. He is survived by: his mother Margaret McLendon; his girlfriend Deanna Simons; his siblings, Eric McLendon (Michelle) and Lacey Williamson (Eron); and his nieces and nephews, Taylor Brown, Patrick McLendon, Cameron Williamson and Gage Williamson. He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Escambia County Humane Society, honoring Derek's love for dogs and his beloved Coltrane.
