With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edward John Battaglia of Pensacola, Florida, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 14, 2026 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfonso Salvatore Battaglia and Stella Battaglia (Nosal); his daughter Sarah Battaglia; and his brothers, Bill Battaglia and Joseph.

He is survived by: his wife Alana Battaglia (Welch); his daughter Laura Battaglia Smrekar (Ian); his grandson John Edward Fortson; his son-in-law Benjamin Fortson; his stepgrandson Thomas Fortson; his sister Anna Marie Martin (Sonny); his nieces and nephews, Ava McCombs (Ed), Angela Mason (Pork), Laurie Lavery (Bruce), Linda Battaglia, Andy Battaglia and Joe Battaglia; and his great-niece Alexandria Butler (Gabe).

In lieu of flowers, donations to Baptist Health Care Foundation or cancer research foundations would be greatly appreciated.
