He is survived by: his spouse Lu Ann Desteli (Nowack); his children, Edward Walter Desteli Jr., Christopher James Desteli (Holly) and Erin Desteli Stitsworth (James); his grandchild Lilliann Faith Desteli; his brother Walter Emil Desteli; and his nephew Jason.
