She was predeceased by: her parents, Jeff Thompson and Violet Thompson; her daughter Denise Barranger Brinley; and her husband C. Milton Smith. She is survived by: her daughter Shari Thompson Ancelet (Carlton); her grandson John Michael Roush; her siblings, Oliver Thompson (Pam) and Carolyn Blackburn (Jim); and her grandchildren, Jessica Hardy, Ryan Wesler, Claire Colbert, Patton Colbert and Emory Colbert.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her honor to The Ministry Village at Olive Baptist Church.
