He was predeceased by: his parents, Ladislaw J. Szugyi and Elizabeth A. Szugyi; his wife Diane A. Szugyi; and his son Ernest Szugyi Jr.. He is survived by: his daughters, Ellen Greene (Fred), Deborah Carty (Donal) and Linda Szugyi (Wayne Hill); his grandchildren, Camille Langiotti, Emily Carty, Erin Carty, Eva Greene, Ryan Carty, Xander Hill and Gavin Hill; and his siblings, Betty A. Berry, Joseph Szugyi, James Szugyi (Yvonne) and Carolyn Helstrom.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM and at 3:00 PM at the New Testament Fellowship Church (60 Industrial Blvd, Pensacola, FL 32503).
