She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert L. Byrd and Jonnie M. Wiley; her son Robert A. Pearson; and her former husband John W. Pearson, Sr.. She is survived by: her son John W. Pearson, Jr. (Sheila); her grandson John E. Pearson; her great-nephew Antonio Byrd; and her children, Kay Ladd, Evette Smith, Mary Cobbs, Dona Williams, Lester L. Walker, Michael "Mike" Pelezo (Esther Phillips, family: Billy, Gloria Brent), Joseph "Joe", Tippy Cantrell and Mike Sundie. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
