He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Horton and Delma Horton; and his siblings, Herbert, Jr., Charles, Johnny, Odessa, Carolyn and Joyce.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Horton; his children, Timothy Horton and Angela Williams (Casey); his sister Sharon Murray; his sister-in-law Wyoma Bobe; and his grandchildren, Brandon, Brian, Matthew, Brittany, Richard and Shelby. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
