He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Buchanan and Frances Buchanan; and his children-in-law, David E. Bailey, Jr. and Nivia Juan Buchanan. He is survived by: his wife Myrtle; his children, Karen Bailey, Gary Buchanan and Bryan Buchanan (Amparo); and his grandchildren, Audrey and Samuel.
