He is survived by: his wife Leona Gassman; his sons, Fred Gassman (Angela) and Brian Gassman (Allison); his grandchildren, Ashleigh, Matthew, Mark, Logan and Megan; his sister-in-law Lona Perry; and his brother Richard Gassman.
