He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Travis and Irene Gaither Travis; his son Berry Lee; and his siblings, Thurman, Gerald, Larry, Linda and Mary Ann.

He is survived by: his wife Deborah Travis; his children, John Travis, Chris Craven, Andrea Collier (Timothy) and Cristy Travis; and his sister Pam. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
