He was predeceased by: his parents, Hyrum Smith and Janie Ruth Smith; his brother Winston Smith; and his former wife Betty Smith. He is survived by: his children, Julie Parrish and Dr. Bryan Smith (Mary); his grandchildren, Katie Green (Matt), Kristin Parrish, Parker Smith (Hillary), Benjamin Parrish, Sara Parrish and Daniel Parrish; his sister Dorothy Jean Drabkin; and his nephews, Todd Smith, Douglas Drabkin (Cathy), David Drabkin (Patty) and Daniel Drabkin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Olive Baptist Church.
