He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent Filipino; his daughters, Elizabeth Ruiz, Marygrace Ruiz Schell (Danny Schell) and Gabrielle Ruiz (Tristin Patane); his grandchildren, Tauren Immanuel Schell and Rosie Marah Schell; his sisters, Therese Ritchie (David Ritchie) and Divinagrace Koonce (Robert Koonce); his aunt Natividad; his uncle Leodegario Racho; his siblings' children, Felicia Pewitt, Chase, Grayson, Brayden, Carson, Joseph Lawrence (Emily), John Zachary Lawrence (Bella), Joshua Lawrence (Selena), Anthony Koonce, Chiara Koonce, Francesca Koonce, Rafael Koonce, Ashley Ritchie, Justin Ritchie (Sheilamae) and Bradley Ritchie; his wife Rosita Flores Ruiz; his grandchild Ascension Ruiz Schell; his mother Lourdes Manansala Ruiz; and also Justo Torres Ruiz.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 5:00 PM and on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A rosary will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church (10650 Gulf Beach Hwy, Pensacola, FL 32507). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit (10650 Gulf Beach Hwy, Pensacola, FL 32507). The military honors will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Nas Barrancas National Cemetery (1 Cemetery Rd, Pensacola, FL 32508).
