He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Pyle and Ida Lee Pyle; his spouse Titelle Clayton Pyle; and his siblings, Sonny Pyle and Vera Hemphill.

He is survived by: his children, Deborah Shelby, Clay Pyle (Leigh) and Patty McRae (Gregg); his grandchildren, Rebecca Cook, Emily Lopez (Mark), Kyle Crawford (Chelsea), Cameron Pyle, Grant McRae, Brittany Parkinson (Cole) and Andrew McRae; and his brother-in-law Pat Clayton (Phyllis). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
