In loving memory of Jimmy Scott (Pensacola, Florida), who departed this world on November 22, 2025 at the age of 67. Jimmy leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jimmy Scott and Bobbie Scott; his wife Leslie Givens Scott; his children, Hunter Scott (Marisa) and Whitney Taaffe (Brandon); his grandsons, Hugo, Milo Scott, Fisher and Barrett Taaffe; his siblings, Sharon Shepherd and Steve Scott; his sisters-in-law, Leigh Adams and Catherine "Buffy" Beal (Patrick); and his grandmother Jones. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (500 N Palafox St, Pensacola, FL 32501). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.

In place of flowers, donations to honor Alan can be made to The Kidney Project online at https://pharm.ucsf.edu for their work to create a small, surgically implanted bioartificial kidney to treat kidney failure or to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes online at https://nwfloridafca.org or by check to FCA Northwest Florida, Attn: Mike Killam, 4900 Bayou Blvd. Suite 212, Pensacola, FL 32503 so others can come to know Christ.

Carolyn Barnett wrote a sympathy message

“Leslie, Hunter, and Whitney, I am so sorry that Alan lost his battle with cancer. He fought a valiant fight, and now he is rewarded with his inheritance guaranteed by the Cross. I understand well the loss you are feeling and the grief you are coping with. We grieve for the empty spot in our lives that is left by the passing of our loved ones while we recognize that Alan is rejoicing in heaven and no longer dealing with an infirm body. I pray for your comfort as you face life without him.”
