With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of JoAnn Simmons of Pensacola, Florida, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 18, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, JoAnn is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that JoAnn's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Leslie and Leccie Maude Simmons; her brother Earl James Simmons; and her niece Chris Armstrong. She is survived by: her sibling's children, Jacqueline Sherman (Tommy), Lisa Mayo (Mike), Mike Simmons (Jerri) and Jimmy Simmons (Kathy); and her sister-in-law Loetta Barrow.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Victory Assembly of God (1895 Victory Rd, Cantonment, FL 32533). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
