We are sad to announce that, on October 9, 2025, at the age of 96, Joe Akagi (Pensacola, Florida) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret. He is survived by: his daughters, Laura Plowman (Scott), Cindy Pyle (Dave) and Rebecca Smith (Dave); his grandchildren, John-Aaron Akagi Castleberry, Matthew Plowman (Jaya), Kevin Plowman (Kalee), Shannon Pierce (Brandon), Will Pyle, Grace Smith and Bethany Costic (Calvin); and his great grandchildren, Ilana V, Alex, Sage, Sloane, Evit Plowman and Violet Pierce.
