He was predeceased by: his parents, John F. Jackson and Bessie F. Jackson; his children, Cheryl Ann and John; and his siblings, Jeanne F. Crowell of Rhode Island and Dr. David R. Jackson of Massachusetts.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn R. Jackson; his daughter J. P.; his son-in-law Steve McLaughlin; his grandchildren, Jay, Ann Marie McLaughlin, Drew and Thuy McLaughlin; and his great grandchildren, Leanne Novy, Jackson, MariKate McLaughlin, Jacob McLaughlin, Aristia McLaughlin, Jaid McLaughlin, Xander McLaughlin and Sophia McLaughlin.
It was John's wish that in lieu of flowers and other expressions of affection on his behalf, such be donated to the Unitarian-Universalist Church of Pensacola, 9888 Pensacola Blvd.
