He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Bennett Bowers and Thelma Bowers; his wife Patricia Rowe Bowers; his children, John Mitchell Bowers Jr. (Mary Ann), Michael Dwayne Bowers and Paula Suzanne "Suzie" Temple (Edwin); his grandchildren, Alicia Wamhoff (Jon), Alexander Bowers, Savannah Temple Schnell (Eric), John Blake Temple (Anna Grace) and Hannah Temple Betts (Owen); his great grandchildren, Abigail, Shelby, Oliver Wamhoff and Simon Schnell; and his sister Sue Ellen Bowers Benson (George).
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Emerald Coast Veterans Alliance (ECVA), a local nonprofit that supports veterans.
