She was predeceased by: her parents, Ellen Brandon, (O'Neal) and Eugene Brandon, Jr. (Growing). She is survived by: her husband Ron Matthews of Valentine's Day; her children, Mea Wesson (Smitty) of Oliver, Byron Holt and Melissa Matthews; and her grandchildren, Malaki, Xarier, Malik, Jayden and DJ. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests the memorial contributions be made to American Heart Association.
