He was predeceased by: his parents, Naomi Katherine McGlacken (McClintock) and Max Monroe Mills; his brother Chris McGlacken; and his daughter Michelle Boden. He is survived by: his wife Virginia "Ginny" Mills; his children, Kim Ruble (Dan), Annette Powell, Gary Max Mills, Mark Mills and Larry Mills II (Angie); and his sister Jane Wohl. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
