He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam McCants and Sarah Lee McCants; his siblings, Mildred Miller, Willie McCants, Fred McCants (Linda) and Saul Savage (Janice); and his grandson Jerome Hollis Jr..
He is survived by: his daughter Sophia Hollis (Jerome) of Gainesville; his adoptive daughter Kayla Cabrera; his granddaughter Kali Allen of Smyrna; and his siblings, Shelia Glenn, Sarah Hurts, Mary Alexander, Perasina Byrd (Alvin), Janice Savage (Saul) and Authur McCants. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
