He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Roy and Addie Bell Hood (Mary Helen Hood); his brother Donald Gordon Hood; his daughter-in-law Renee G Hood; and his brother-in-law Curtis Porter.
He is survived by: his brothers, Kennith Hood (Betty) and Hiram G Hood (Lynne); his sisters-in-law, Annete Porter and Sandy Hood; his siblings' children, Wayne Hood (Lori) and Lisa Scruggs (Jack); his grandchildren, Ashely Creamer (Daulton), Blake Scruggs (Sommer), Aspen Taylor (Lane) and Leslee Scruggs; and his great grandchildren, Jeremiah Alvarez, DJ Thompson, Levi Taylor, Mary Elizabeth and Layton Wayne Taylor. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and loving friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pensacola Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home (7433 Pine Forest Rd, Pensacola, FL 32526). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery (2430 Shakey Joe Rd, Vernon, FL 32462).
