He was predeceased by: his parents, Mae Eula Steele McDonald and Robert McDonald; his brother Ernest Melvin McDonald; and his father-in-law William "Tiny" Roberts. He is survived by: his wife Faithe McDonald (Roberts); his brother Lee McDonald; his daughters, Lindsey Dyer (Cam), Heather Goodlander and Stephanie Pugh (Scotty); his grandchildren, Jason Jordan, Kayleigh Johnson (Greg), Jessica Taylor (Cyrus), Olivia O'Connor and Grayson Dyer; his great grandchildren, Charlotte, Avaleigh and Haiden; his mother-in-law Virginia "Jenny" Roberts; and his friend Carla Rhodes.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations in Ray's name be made to the Shepherd Center in Atlanta, GA or Vitas Hospice.
