He was predeceased by: his parents, John T. Preston and Matilda Preston; his siblings, John Preston, Russell Preston, Howard Preston, Robert Preston, Dorothy Bloom, Mary Pilling and Mildred Preston; and his former wife Anne Geeker Preston McNeal.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Preston; his daughters, Linda Preston Lethbridge (Mark) of Bumpass, VA and Kae Preston of Pensacola; his sister Janet Preston Feallock (Joe) of Pensacola; his stepchildren, Tracy Grimes of Pensacola, Toni Grimes Harris of Pensacola, Paige Miller (Steve) of Houston, TX, Andy Doherty of Ft. Worth, TX and Meredith Potyondy of Dallas, TX; his grandchildren, Zach Lethbridge (Rosemary) of Fredericksburg, VA, Matthew Lethbridge (Blair) of Fredericksburg, VA, Jacob Lethbridge of Fredericksburg, VA and Crystal Richbourg of Pensacola; his stepchildren, Amanda Dunn Spencer of Pensacola, Declan, Connor and Berlin Potyondy of Dallas, TX; and his great grandchildren, Connor, Andrew, Madison and Christian Lethbridge of Fredericksburg, VA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
