He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Sr. Carter and Dixie Carter. He is survived by: his wife Trish Carter; his children, Deanna Smith (Tim), Richard Carter (Jennifer), Sherrie Gay (Chris), Amy Ross and Tanya Garcia (Pablo); his grandchildren, Amber, Ryan, Tristan, Heather, Tiffany, Paul, Samantha, Cody and Courtney; and his brothers, Billy Carter (Cathy) and Tommy Carter (Pauline). He is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
