She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Margaret Strachan and Robert Sherard Reiser; her spouse Lieutenant Edward Ashby Mason, Jr.; and her daughter Julie Marie Smith (James). She is survived by: her sister Betty Joyce Griffith; and her sons, Stephen Ashby (Tena), Jeffrey Richard (Laurie), John Edward (Reneé) and Patrick Carey (Yolanda). She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and ten dear nieces and nephews.
