Rusty Rood Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rusty Rood of Pensacola, Florida, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 31, 2025 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Rusty may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Rusty touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert C. Rood and Hilda Rood. He is survived by: his wife Beth Ward Rood; his children, Ruston Rood (Cristina) and Rebecca Rood; his grandchildren, Camila, Caylee Rood-Cruz and Ryleigh Rood; and his siblings-in-law, Jim Ward (Cheryl) and Becca Boles (Joey). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to support: Coach Rebecca Rood's girls' tennis team, because Rusty thought they needed uniforms.
