Shirley Faye Shelby Obituary

We announce the death of Shirley Faye Shelby of Pensacola, Florida, who passed away on September 30, 2026, at the age of 79. Shirley will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Braswell and Addline Braswell; her husband James E. Shelby; and her siblings, James Harry Braswell, Janie Braswell Lewis, Leonard Wayne Braswell, Grady Rex Braswell, Ellen Braswell Peek, Glinda Braswell Weaver and Timothy Woodrow Braswell.

She is survived by: her children, Katherine Shelby Wise (James) and James "Kenneth" Shelby; her sister Virginia Braswell Parker; and her grandchildren, Jamie Mack, Christopher Shelby and Caleb Shelby. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Faith Chapel Funeral Home and Crematory - North (1000 S Hwy 29, Cantonment, FL 32533). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery (5805 Beulah Church Rd, Pensacola, FL 32526).
