She was predeceased by: her husband James Johnson; her parents, Ned Elliott and Pauline Thomas; her stepmother Alneta Elliott; and her siblings, Paulette Mouton, Corrine Foster, Eva Barr, Addie McDonald, James Brooks, Luke Thomas, Eugene Thomas and Louis Thomas.

She is survived by: her siblings, Linda Elliott of Starkville, Lolette Gant of Texarkana, Dorothy Guy of Franklin, Louisiana, Pauline Thomas of Franklin, Louisiana and Willie Rogers of Chicago, Illinois; and her cousin Robbie Collier.
