He was predeceased by: his parents, Odis Murphy and Myrtice Murphy (Atwell); his stepfather Harold Atwell; and his siblings, Marlene Murphy and Vern Murphy.
He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Murphy; his children, Tammy Touchton (Alvin) and Eric Murphy; his grandchildren, Justin Blue, Marcus, Killian, Rory, Kristin (Blue), McKinley (Rodney McKinley) and Jarrett Touchton; and his brother Stephen "Buddy" Murphy (Tina). He is also survived by in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Burns Funeral Home of Perry (1400 N Johnson Stripling Rd, Perry, FL 32347). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
