Christopher Strickland Obituary

Christopher Thomas Strickland, 34, passed away on January 20, 2019 in Perry, FL. Chris was born February 10, 1984 in Tallahassee, Florida to Jack Dean Strickland and Shoshonna Hunter Strickland. Mr. Strickland was a Christian. Chris was a master welder that had worked for NASA, Siemans, Yates Construction, and several other companies for the past 8 years.

He also was a carpenter, working with his father and operating Strick Bilt Construction. Chris loved his family above all else, he made sure that they had no wants. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and drawing. Chris enjoyed working out at the gym and staying fit. Chris was preceded in death by his dad Jack Dean Strickland, his grandparents Charles and Betty Hunter, and Cohlan and Virginia Strickland.

Chris is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 13 years, Britney Strickland; children, Ashton Strickland and Kaylee Mae "Sour Patch" Strickland; his mother Shoshonna Strickland; sisters, Summer Sadler (Heath), Savannah Sheffield (Joshua), Jacklyn Murphy (Colby); his father and mother in law Jimmy and Terri Young; as well as a "Bobo" to a host of nieces and nephews and other extended family members.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at 12:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Ben Kimmell and Pastor James Fudge officiating. Interment services will follow immediately afterwards in Pineview Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Calvary Baptist Church.
