He was predeceased by: his brother Dana Mauldin; and his sister-in-law Tina Mauldin. He is survived by: his wife Kim; his children, Bradley Mauldin (Lynda) and Amber Ross; his brother Darin Mauldin; his grandchildren, Ashton Mauldin, Lahna Ross, Brilynn Sherrod, Hinton Mauldin, Caseton Mauldin and Bristynn Mauldin; and his great grandchild Stetson Robertson.
