She was predeceased by: her husband Joe Carlton; her parents, Walter Shiver and Pearl Shiver (Woodcock); and her siblings, Margie Horton, Earlene Koslowski, Earl Shiver, Dorothy Jolley, Frances Page, Franklin Shiver and Bobby Shiver.
She is survived by: her children, Denise McGuire (Walt), Joey Carlton (Amy), Sandy Hunter (Mike) and Lisa Carlton; her sister Christine Hill; and her grandchildren, Shannon McGuire, Shawn McGuire, Adam Carlton (Kim), Kris Hunter (Tina), Robert Hunter (Mindy) and Jennifer Holden (Cody). She is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Joe P. Burns Funeral Home (1400 N Johnson Stripling Rd, Perry, FL 32347). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
