He is survived by: his father James "Jim" Raymond Hunter, Sr.; his wife Rosa Bishop; his children, Lindsey Lawson (Mike), Lee Hunter (Brittany) and Jason Hunter (Rebecca); his brother Richard Hunter (Renee); his grandchildren, Dilan Lawson (Kara), Thad Lawson, Jett Hunter, Bentley Logan, Sadie Hunter, Boudreaux Hunter, Ethan Hunter and Vivian Hunter; his great grandchildren, Easton Hunter and Gunner Hunter; his nephews, Kyle Hunter (Nikki) and Kitt Hunter (Kai); and his close friend Cindy.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 14th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Cherry Lake Methodist Church.
