He is survived by: his wife Miriam Shaw; his brother John Shaw; his brother-in-law Mark Sussmann (Elizabeth); his children, Louis Shaw (Kathy), Shelby Lee Shaw and JoAnn Watts; and his stepsons, Henry B. Smith (Toni) and Jack E. Smith (Amanda). He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
