Shirley Schmid Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Schmid of Perry, Florida, born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, who passed away on May 16, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Schmid; her mother Esther Roberts; and also, Herbert and Annie Lou Schmid. She is survived by: her children, Sheila Thomley (Tommy) of Tampa, Sylvia Matthews (Michael) of Tampa and Michael Schmid (Brenda) of Houston; her sisters, Ruth Bethea of Perry and Betty Johnson of Winchester, KY; and her sisters-in-law, Kit Bethea (Bryan) of Perry and Kay Royals (Horace) of Tallahassee. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Florida College.
