She was predeceased by: her parents, James Ervin Johnson and Lettie Estelle Chewning Johnson; her husband Herbert Lee Patterson Sr.; and her siblings, Curtis, Myrtle, Idalu, Annette and Alene.
She is survived by: her children, Herb Patterson and Joy Patterson; and her siblings, Nina, Gladys, James, Earl J. and W. C.. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
