He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Smeriglio and Caroline Smeriglio (Malaterra); his wife Betty Smeriglio (McLeod); and his grandson Alexander Smeriglio. He is survived by: his daughter Jane Swiatek (Smeriglio) of Ridgefield; his sister Carolyn Delfino (Smeriglio) of Monroe; his granddaughters, Christine Swiatek (Jonathan Podolak) of Monroe and Lacey Barboza (Smeriglio) of Jewett City; his great grandchildren, Saeri and Camron Barboza; his niece Lori Buchetto (Michael) of Wakefield, RI; and his son Tom Smeriglio of Ridgefield. He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews and so many incredible friends.
