We announce the death of Maribeth Murphy of Placida, Florida, who passed away on July 10, 2026, at the age of 73. Maribeth will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Murlin Townsend and Delores M. Townsend; and her sister Trudy Donahue. She is survived by: her husband David Wayne Murphy; her sister Sally Donahue; her sons, Jeremiah Murphy (Tina Maguire), Brandon Murphy, Zachariah (Kristine Murphy) and Vincent Murphy; and her grandchildren, Katelyn Murphy, London Murphy, Marlucia Maguire, Piper Murphy, Jameson Murphy and Mila Murphy.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Maribeth's memory.
