He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Willard Shepherd and Margarette Estes; and his brother Charles Shepherd. He is survived by: his wife Mary Shepherd; his daughters, Margaret Stemler and Sheryl Bullard; and his sister Ruth Turner. He is also survived by four grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
