It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Hedleston of Plantation, Florida, who passed away on February 18, 2026, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Donald Hedleston to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Hedleston and Debbie Hedleston; his brother William "Bill" Hedleston; his son Joseph Hedleston; and his nieces and nephews, William "Biff" Hedleston, Ryan Rick, Robin Rick, Donna Lee and April.

He is survived by: his wife Elaine Hedleston; his sister Joan Rick; his daughters, Wanda Smith and Julie Fernandez; his grandchildren, Christina Fernandez, Alyssa Kamal, Jennifer Smith and Tyler Tiedt; and his great grandchildren, Mackenzie Fernandez, Aria Kamal and Mia Kamal. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in his memory.
